Prostest ICE: Direct Action

Dan’s Direct Action:

Why:

Ice is violating our civil rights as a people and holding the constitution in abeyance and contempt.

When:

Anytime ICE is present and you have time to bait them legally, this is appropriate.

What you can do:

I am a 5th generation, Native born American Citizen.  I am deeply offended by Trumps Executive Order ### declaring English to be the official language of the USA.  The USA never had an official language before and we don’t need one now.  He has done this so he can remove all foreign language government forms that facilitate non-english speaking AMERICAN CITIZENS from easily (and inexpensively) exercising their citizen privileges.  It’s xenophobic and disgusting.

Here’s what I’m doing.  When I am in public I will ONLY speak Spanish or Mandarin.  If/When I am approached by ICE I will exercise the unalienable rights  that I was born with, guaranteed to me by the constitution.

  • I will NOT speak to them in English.
  • I will not show my papers.
  • I will not state my citizenship.
  • I will not assist them in their illegal investigation.
  • I will not answer questions.
  • I will remain silent.

If they arrest me, I will not say a single word to any agent of the state until I am brought before a judge (habeas corpus).  Then I will speak to the judge in open court about the egregious violation of my civil right guaranteed to me by the US constitution, 1st, 4th, 5th and 14th Amendments.   And then I will sue the state and the agents PERSONALLY.

One of the most powerful things we citizens can do to resist, is to drain and sap the resources illegitimately used by the state.  For direct action grassroos politics this is our goal.  Fill the paddy wagons, fill the jails, fill the courtrooms, and still keep the protestors coming.  The more time they waste on “we the citizens”, the less resources they will have to do the evil they intend.
